Kearney, Nancy Robinson, Cheryl Batts, Lynell Logan, Angela Williams and other notable authors and members of the Arkansas Black Writers Network (ABWN) for a discussion of "Researching and Writing Arkansas History" and as a featured "Sister Talk" panelist in an effort to promote literacy during the ABWN Book Expo at the annual "Juneteenth Celebration" held on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
